ALTA 2020 Rescheduled to 7-14 November

Following recent Australian Government announcements regarding COVID-19 we have no option but to postpone ALTA 2020. Given the bans on large gatherings and compulsory isolation periods, it is not possible to proceed. We appreciate that this will be a disappointment to many of you as it is to us, however the health, well-being and safety of our attendees is our top priority.

The event will now be held 7-14 November 2020 at the same venue in Perth, Pan Pacific Hotel.  All bookings and registrations will be transferred to the new dates. We will reach out to our presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, co-sponsors and delegates with specific arrangements in the coming days.

Looking ahead, we will stay in November for ALTA 2021 and beyond.

We ask for your patience and understanding while we work through the major task of this reschedule. We will keep you updated via emails and social media.

We understand this is a very challenging time for each of us professionally and personally and we wish you all the very best for the coming months, and good health for you, your colleagues and loved ones.

Special Update – COVID-19

The health, safety and well-being of attendees is of utmost importance and our number one priority.

We are paying close attention to direction from the Australian Government Department of Health and travel information from the Department of Home Affairs.

Australia is well placed to respond to an outbreak and our health system includes mechanisms for early detection and effective management of cases and contacts. The Australian Government has issued a health alert as a precaution and their advice is for to continue business as usual.

Based on this advice, ALTA 2020 will go ahead as planned.

We are working closely with the conference venue, Pan Pacific Perth hotel, to put preventative measures in place to ensure your safety during the event, including:

  • Increased cleaning and disinfection of high-volume areas including registration, handrails, bathrooms, door handles, microphones, etc.
  • Sanitising stations installed throughout the hotel and convention floor
  • Food and beverage service monitoring by venue staff

We will continue to closely monitor developments in the coming weeks and issue updates as appropriate. For further information, visit our website or contact Allison Taylor.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Perth for our 25th anniversary conference in May.
