ALTA 2020 Lithium & Battery Technology Conference includes a forum and panel discussion on Trends in Battery Technology.  The 4th annual ALTA lithium event is held as part of the 25th annual ALTA metallurgical conference.

Technical Program

This one-day event includes 16 presentations across two main segments.  The first part of the day will cover lithium ore processing and the second part will feature a forum and panel discussion focusing on Trends in Battery TechnologyProgram

Keynote Speaker

Prof Peter Talbot, Institute for Future Environments (IFE) and Queensland University of Technology (Australia), will be sure to draw a crowd with his presentation “The Creation and Implications of Australia’s First Lithium-Ion Battery”Abstract and bio

Panel Discussion

The day will conclude with a panel discussion on Trends in Battery Technology.  ALTA panels are always a highlight with informed discussion adding significantly to the technical program.  Open exchange of information and ideas between panel and audience is encouraged, and often leads to lively debate.  The notes from panel discussions are published as a valuable resource for the industry.  ALTA 2019 panel notes

Short Course

The event is further enhanced by the inclusion of the Lithium Processing short course to be presented on 30 May by METS Engineering.  The course looks at the occurrence, mineralogy, end uses and specifications, beneficiation, thermal treatment, hydrometallurgical options, lithium recovery and recent project histories.  Detailed course outline
